A dark dystopian drama.
March 1st – March 17th
Directed by David Kaye.
This imaginative staging of Orwell’s famous parable leaps over Parts One and Two of the story, finding Winston Smith after his arrest by Big Brother’s agents, plunging the audience straight into Smith’s incarceration and reformation in the torture chamber.
To remind Winston of his “crimes,” a reformation team re-enacts events described in Winston’s diary, driving him to the brink of madness by warping his memories to serve the needs of The Party.
